Skin Cancer Screening Clinic May 6
The LRMC Dermatology Clinic is opening its doors for a skin cancer screening clinic May 6. Patients who have had a skin cancer screening within the past 12 months are ineligible, and no other issues will be addressed or treated during this appointment.

A limited number of appointments are available. Appointments can be made by calling DSN 486-5762 or Commercial: 06371-86-5762.

Sleep Study
Do you have problems sleeping? If you are 18 years or older, a military beneficiary (service member, retiree, family member), or have had problems sleeping for 6 months or longer, you may be able to take part in a study using a microcurrent therapy for insomnia.

Participation is voluntary and confidential. Please call DSN 590-5641, Commercial 06371-9464-5641 or e-mail sleep.study@yahoo.com for more information.

TBI Self-Referral Call Line Now Available
The ERMC Active Duty TBI Self-Referral Call Line is now available. Any active duty service member who feels they may have signs and symptoms of a TBI, please call DSN 590-4979 or Commercial 06371-9464-4979 for a brief screen and referral for appointment with a TBI Provider.

New Location for Outpatient TBI Screeing Begins Ap
Beginning April 15, Outpatient TBI Screening will be done at the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program (Bldg. 3737) near the Fire Station and across the street from the MTD. The entrance is at the back of the building (not facing the street). Please call DSN 590-4979 or Commercial 06371-9464-4979 to set up a time to be seen by the Inpatient Screener or for more information.

Free Tax Assistance at LRMC
Free tax assistance is available from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Mondays thorugh Fridays at the Landstuhl Tax Assistance Center located in Room 108B in Bldg. Bldg 3701 (next to launderette). For more info call DSN 486-6334 or Commercial 06371-86-6334.

Local Host Nation Hospitals

The overview of Host Nation hospitals that follows will familiarize you with Saarland University Hospital in Homburg, St. Johannis Krankenhaus and Westpfalz Klinikum, three major medical facilities that serve the Kaiserslautern area.

Hospital information, maps and driving directions are included.

Please learn how to get around your neighborhood, including driving routes to your nearest Host Nation hospital emergency room. It also never hurts to learn how to ask for medical help in the Host Nation language. The Host Nation Patient Liaison can provide a medical phrase book. Be sure to ask for one.
